Meeting Details

This 3-day conference is organized and sponsored by the Animal Health and Nutrition Consortium (AHNC) in collaboration with the Carolina Feed Industry Association (CFIA) the NC Biotechnology Center, and the College of Agriculture Food Animal Initiative (FAI). The Animal Health and Nutrition Consortium is a public/private partnership that promote innovation and advances in production and companion animal health and welfare, with a special focus on gut health, nutrition, using precision technologies and Artificial Intelligence (AI) big data analytics. The AHNC is a foundational constituent of the NC State Animal Academy and the CALS Food Animal Initiative. The CFIA and the NC Biotech Center are members of the AHNC. The conference event is will gather state, national, and international food production animal agriculture experts from industry, allied industry, academia, students, and government to exchange ideas and solutions to the primary concerns for animal agriculture today. The conference will be preceded by a golf tournament and social event at the Lonnie Poole Golf Course on Sunday September 25, 2022, followed by hotel check-in and conference registration. The Food Animal Innovation Summit will begin with the CFIA Animal Nutrition Symposium will occur throughout the following day, September 26th, which will feature invited expert speakers presenting about research and education updates from regional Universities, feed industry regulatory and commodity market updates, and nutrition and feed quality for commercial production animals (Poultry, Swine, and Ruminants, Aquaculture, and Companion Animals). The Animal Health and Nutrition and Precision Animal Systems Symposia will be held the following day and a half, September 27-28, 2022, which will feature invited expert speakers presenting topics about gut health, food safety, animal welfare, and precision animal farming.

Meeting Location: The State View Hotel Marriott Autograph Collection, 2451 Alumni Drive, Raleigh, NC 27606. Meeting will be a hybrid format, in person and virtual (zoom/YouTube broadcast)

Topics and Meeting Focus: Sponsored by Animal Health and Nutrition Consortium, the Carolina Feed Industry Association, the NC Biotechnology Center, and NC State University College of Agriculture Food Animal Initiative, the Food Animal Innovation Summit is designed to attract a diversity of scientists and leaders to exchange ideas about Nutrition, health, and precision technologies in animal production and the associated food supply chain.
